I think that's the lowest out there.

Closest thing would be Leader's new Cretin for more than double the price of that.

Hopefully it's not a case of you get what you pay for.

I guess you can dig deeper past the bottom of the barrel on ebay for cheap chinese frames.

Bad comparison. Cretin includes carbon fork, BB, stem, seatpost, seatpost collar. It all adds up.

Looks-wise, it's the Cretin. Price-wise, it's the Aventon Cordoba.

Nope. It says "compare to", not "comparable".

Non traditional bundling for both run of the mill frames anyhow...
Seems like Leader is just forcing people to buy more stuff which they may or may not need or end up upgrading at the end of the day especially with such specifics such as bb & stem.

OP can still build up a crew for cheaper if he is to get the other bits used nonetheless and would be afforded a greater amount of customization.

Even if you remove the BB and stem, it will be pretty hard to add a decent fork and seatpost with collar for less than $300. And don't forget shipping costs from different sellers as well as potentially high cost for the frame from CG, which isn't free. I only paid about $100 total for my Leader 721tr, but by the time I sourced the other bits the overall cost was well over $300.

If you're concerned about money why not just buy the crew complete and ride it til' you wanna upgrade?. Anytime you go custom it's 800 bucks easy. Any less than that and what you get isn't much better than citygrounds completes. Just my 2 cents but I get the impression that Crew doesn't care too much about customer service. 17teeth have answered my questions, that doesn't mean they're higher quality though.

If you get the crew complete you'd probably want to put an eighthinch crank on it and some new tires. Check out Eighthinch scrambler and manifests completes on their website.

Of course you should look over bikesdirects fixed gears. At least they're stock cranks don't look like they're made of pop can aluminum.
