Parts Interchangability???
 

Looking to buy a complete bike & just can't seem to stop coming back to the 6ku fixie, Nebula Black. (I know imagine that)
****, $200 to be in the wind?? Damn!!
This would be my first "road" bike so I'm wondering about part interchangeability??
Would probably want to upgrade parts as they wore out/broke.
I would definitely put on some pursuit bars straight outta the box.
Are cranks, wheels, stem & bars all pretty much swappable??
Seems like a pretty clean frame to start with, and being so cheap, I'm all ****it!!

Any experience with weak points on these completes??

Should I drop more coin for something else?
Kinda like the Throne bikes as well.

Yes, you can replace parts on that bike. Make sure new parts purchased are the right size.

It has a 68mm BB shell so you will be able to replace the cranks with pretty much anything as long as you are also willing to replace the bottom bracket. The bars are 22.2mm which is not as common or nice as 31.8mm, so if you replace the bars you may also end up replacing the stem. The wheels, saddle, etc. should be pretty standard. If you have any specific questions about specific parts you should probably ask City Grounds or whoever you are buying the bike from. My guess is that the bike is a pretty good deal for the money.

The bars won't be 22.2mm at the middle where they are clamped by the stem. They could be anything ranging from 25.4mm to 31.8mm at the clamping point.

What is the point of providing a measurement that isn't the clamp diameter? Is it for the grips?

Yes, the 22.2mm measurement is the diameter of the bar at the ends where the grips or bar tape will go. The majority of handlebars are either 22.2mm or 23.8mm (nominally 24mm) at the ends. Also, most bars transition to this smaller diameter just past the stem gripping area.

I normally wouldn't say this but Hashtag: KiloTT. It is a much better bike than any of those cheapo hi-ten bikes that some factory in China is making a ton of and rebranding. At least they use 4130 Chromo and allegedly it is Reynolds 520 (which is decently good stuff) so a nicer and lighter frame that will hold up better.

You can upgrade parts on almost any bike so long as they are the right parts. Stock bikes are generally boring, save for this guy:
LeMond - The official site of Greg LeMond (we have one in the shop right now and fark it is so dope. The colors are all TDF jersey colors and all kind of hidden around the bike though I guess he did some very minor upgrades and also claims to know ole' Grego personally)
And I guess the limited edition Eddy Merckx XCr tubed 70 also with Crampandgoslo (but with his name on all of the components which Crampy doesn't normally do, to be even more ******)
