2015 NAHBS: Enduro Bearings

Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

They look pretty but I see no need to go from good ole' square taper to the billions of splines and shet that are polluting the marketplace. Plus if I am going to drop that kind of bank on cranks they better have a little red script logo of a four letter first name that begins with P and ends with L or they better be Super Sugino 75s with dat S-Cubic coating son!

I wonder if Enduro is doing other cranks for other purposes or if they some how just decided to do some tarck cranks. They are nice enough to look at so even with the whacky new agey bottom bracket concept it does have an appeal plus they did try and give it that classic look.

Cool, I guess. You won't find me paying that kind of money for an updated Campy crank.

Outboard bearings were just an awkward transition phase from square taper to BB30. Outboard should just die out now, not suddenly cost 3x as much as my carbon cranks.

Are Enduro bearings actually still made in the USA? I have some 60001RS and the seals don't say "USA" on them.

You have to wonder where the money goes with a product like that when you can buy something like Profile Elite BMX cranks (welded crmo, made in USA) for $400.

Price aside, I really like the concept of refreshing the old with the new.
