First Fixie Build
My son and I have watched "Premium Rush" about 3 times the past few months and each time he has become more sure of his choice to build a fixie. I'm a C&V roadie so there is a Raleigh frame on the wall of the shop wanting new life. I'll post pics as we get going.

Yay, a build thread.

Premium rush is your son's inspiration for riding a fixed gear bike? I'm not usually one to tell somebody how to raise their kids, but it's time you step up and perform your fatherly duties.

Can't stop, don't want to

Why? Perhaps some form of aversion therapy?

Okay, I watched Premium rush... twice, first when it was on Redbox and about two months ago. Yes, it has its flaws. Yes, the plot is a bit corny. But if it inspires people to get off their royal asses and ride, more power to them.
To that end, there was a youtube channel called Triple Rush that was going for a while but I haven't seen anything of it as of late. Maybe it fizzled away? It was more of a documentary, followed a few different messengers throughout their workweek, etc. |

Never heard of Premium Rush before this thread*. Inspired me to go watch it.. looks like an entertaining movie. Thanks!
PS: Great looking build you've got! * I'm not the usual FG rider, so that's maybe why ;) |

There are other documentary type flicks out there, but they're all about the whole Lance scandal. |
Nice build, fun movie.
I especially liked how he was in the ambulance in tons of pain barely able to move, and then a short time later was riding all kinds of cool stunts on top of cars. :thumb: |

Atmosphere is a little different than the over 50 forum here in SS/FG. Did ya' notice? |

Wait...did I miss the entire process? Next thing I know it's done, and done well! Nice job.
