Rolled out with a faster group but had to stop for a nature break and couldn't reestablish contact. I hung with the slower group but they opted for a shorter route and so I wound up riding most of it on my own.
This is the first time I've done The Pocket or Calhoun Gap. Horn Mountain is really something.

Horn Mountain from the Calhoun side is a serious climb. I love the way it winds up the mountain making you think you're about to be at the top, only to find out that there's another bend, and another, and another.

I think we did it the other way, from the Pocket toward Sugar Valley.
