Alabama - Standard Deluxe Dirt Road Century - October 21st, 2017
Edit: Registration is now open: https://www.usacycling.org/register/2017-2554
Hey y'all,
After the success of last year's Dirt Road Century, Terra Firma Cycling is back at it again to host the 2nd edition of the Standard Deluxe Dirt Road Century.
We've changed a few things about the ride this year that we think are going to make it even better!
Here's what's new:
- Free communal camping at Standard Deluxe
- Live music at the Little House (located at Standard Deluxe)
- A clearly marked course (last year's route wasn't marked well... or really at all)
- Professionally designed T-Shirts available for purchase
- Plus a ton more!
And of course, just like last year, we'll have a pre and post party for the racers/riders, great food, lots of beer, and lots of fun.
Like last year, it's recommended that you run a bike with at least 700x35c tires. Cyclocross (with wide tires) or mountain bikes would be preferred. It is also recommended that you bring spare tubes and CO2 with you in the event of a flat. The roads on the route are very rural, and are very chunky, so a standard road bike setup will not be able to complete the route.
Registration is not currently open to the public, but I'll update this post with a link once we open it up.

Also, the fine folks over at GravelCyclist.com showed up last year and did a nice race report, and made a video about the race, check them out here:
