GA mountains tag along
Hello friends, just a general inquiry.
Since I am the "lone wolf" in my family when it comes to MTB, is there a group or so who goes to Bull/jake Mtn., Cleveland, Helen...frequently and wouldn't mind to tag me along? I hiked that area with my dog sporadically, but don't want to get lost heading out on a bike by myself, plus the safety consideration. Yeah, I am in the 50+ range and while some muscles are in hibernation mode, over 35 years of soccer kept me in good shape.
Due to my work schedule, which includes weekends, I am quite restricted regarding spare time. Wouldn't mind to head further out, i.e Ellijay or Lake Allatoona to meet a group. My MTB was only 450, so I hope that does not disqualify me, sometimes watching various youtube channels it appears the entrance fee to the mountains and weekend fun must start around 3 grand.
Cheers everyone and have a great day

Both bike shops in Cleveland do weekly rides as a norm...Scott's occasionally does a weekend ride or sponsors an event as well. Links below:

Hope this helps.

thanks for the pointers, I will check this out. However I may have missed out that I was more targeting Cleveland Georgia which is close to Unicoi State Park and not too far away from the Curahee mountain. Cleveland/ TN is about 2 hours West of me. They actually created a nice little park inside the city limits (Yonah Preserve) to do a little exercising after hours or Sunday mornings believe it is 5-8 miles, not super challenging but a nice workout, if you don't have too much time
