Nashville TN visit?

I'll be visiting Nashvillle in November, taking my road bike...any advice on good places to ride?

There is a large system of greenways and designated bike lanes in Nashville and the surrounding areas. Look online for individual maps of each area. A map of the whole system. One of the Warner parks (Edwin or Percy) has a nice climbing loop frequented by cyclists.

SW of town, around Liepers Fork, west of Franklin, there are a lot of low-traffic rural roads with rolling hills to ride.

And there's always the Natchez Trace, with its terminus also SW of town.

Caveat - I have not had a lot of time to ride there. I always have good intentions and have scoped out some of these, but other activities have always gotten in the way.

That's great! The Google map of the winding roads in Percy Park certainly looks fun. I'll have to decide whether to ride the 10 miles out from downtown, or to drive there with the bike. It may depend on the schedule.

The greenways and also go explore down town. Lots of sights to see.

Hi, if you haven't been here yet, the other posts have good advice. If you want to talk about any of the rides, email me off list and we can connect. I live near downtown and ride on the greenways when I don't have time to drive somewhere, in particular the shelby bottoms one that goes out to the dam and back.
Best,
Mark
