2016 SIX GAP registration is open.....who else???

Signed up and reserving room for 2nd year in a row. This time with advance preparation and having done it already will make a big difference in the ride. The sag stops are excellent so only a few gels and 2 water bottles will do the trick this time. I expect to cut 45 minutes off my time.

Anybody else going**********

I have friends trying to talk me into 3 Gap. But last year's Horrible Hundred with 5,000ish feet of climbing was all the climbing I wanted and more. I'm not optimistic about making it.

I rode HH also and quite frankly was more tired after that than the 11,000+ feet of Six Gap. IMO, the 3 Gap climbs being longer plus the downhills could be more relaxing with proper gearing. I would think that 3 Gap would not be an issue for you plus there is PLENTY of time to complete.

Looking at the 3 gap elevation map, with the climbing early and downhill late makes me more optimistic. My climbing issue is a result of my Clydesdale status, I can run 20-22 for an hour in a pace line, 17-18 all day in a pace line, 16 all day by myself, but in the Clermont area, I only average 13-14 for most rides. I guess the debate now is going to be which bike to undergear.

Coming up from the Tampa area and meeting a friend that just moved up there some 7 miles away from the Highschool's 6Gap start. We're signed-up to do the 3Gap however he's having second thoughts and might switch to the valley ride. Maybe we'll see you up there and good luck. I postponed a major surgery to do this ride!!!

1.5hrs south of you in Englewood. Don't give in to concerns about the climbing since there's still plenty of time to get ready. Should be half a dozen or more in our Real Bikes kit this year, then Horrible Hundred in November, 12/24hr Sebring next February and next April the Cross Florida. Our Grand Slam for those from the Country of Flat Land.

Good luck and look for us.
