Braswell Mountain Metric - Sat 9/24 - 15 to 17 MPH - Acworth, Georgia
What: A hilly metric with lots quiet country roads and some nice climbs.
Where: Ride starts at Publix parking lot, corner of Stilesboro Rd. and Mars Hill Rd, Brookstone Village, Acworth, Georiga.
When: Saturday, Sept 24 at 8:00 AM
The "Braswell Mountain Metric" starts in Acworth, Cobb County, Georgia and heads out to Coots Lake via the Harmony Grove Church Rd descent. We will ride some very scenic and almost deserted country roads before climbing over Braswell Mountain and stopping at Coots Lake. Return to Hiram via the trail and then north on the classic Poplar Springs return to Acworth.
There is a planned store stop at mile 32 and opportunities for several others along the way as decided by the group. No one will get dropped or left behind but please be able to ride a 15MPH pace comfortably if you wish to participate in this ride.
The forecast calls for sunny skies with a low of 66° rising to a high of 89°. Heavy rain or thunder will cancel the ride so check this thread the morning of the ride or send a PM if in doubt.
Here is the route. I hope to see you there.

Saturday's hourly forecast calls for a relatively chilly 67° at start time rising through the mid 80's as the morning progresses. Humidity should be dropping throughout the morning with no wind to speak of. Should be a great day.
I rode this route two weeks ago and am looking forward to it again. I hope everyone has a fun and safe time wherever they decide to ride.
