The planners in the Cobb DOT really want to flesh out bike infrastructure, and the Silver Comet Trail is such an economic benefit to the county that the political conditions are good for at least mixed-use paths. As for MARTA, both the county and Smyrna are working on public transit studies over the summer. I don't know what will come of it, but it's in the works.
