Cobb County trails plan approved
 

The Cobb County Greenways and Trails Master Plan has been approved by the county Board of Commissioners. The network of trails will connect every part of the county, and at least two of them will connect the Silver Comet Trail with trails in the City of Atlanta. Those trails are the Silver Comet connector trail (a direct link), and the Chattahoochee River Trail, which will connect to the Proctor Creek Greenway and the Mableton Parkway Trail. A future plan is to continue the Mableton Parkway Trail to the Floyd Road Trail, which in turn already connects to the Silver Comet Trail.

The draft plan has been in place for a while, and some of the trails are already under either construction or in various phases of development.
