Gulf State Park Gulf Shores Alabama
Checking in from the Florida Panhandle area. Have any of you been to the Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores Alabama? Great place to ride- over 28 miles of paved trails through a beautiful area of the Gulf Coast. Lakes and streams are plentiful, and there are shady trails as well. My wife and I are frequent visitors, and logged 30+ miles this past Saturday in the blazing heat. If you are looking to make a weekend (or longer) of it, there are cabins in the park and condos across the main highway (still part of the park) for those who would rather stay right on the Gulf of Mexico.
Of course I'm biased since we live within an hour's drive, but I highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area or if you're just looking for a nice weekend getaway.
