Kentucky Riders

I recently moved to Danville, KY (about 35 miles SSW of Lexington) and I'm wondering if there's anyone else on here from my area? I'd be interested in knowing of charity rides in my area (or relatively close by) and also getting together with others for occasional group ride.

The best suggestion I could offer you would be to check around for local bike shops and follow up leads there as to what is an active outlet for said. Might be worth checking social media for groups as well.
Another helpful thing I found (and used while on vaca in Chevy Chase) is to use Strava, or similar, route maps to see if you find anything close by that others are riding.

Thanks for the suggestions. Never used Strava. I'm not a "stats" person but never thought to use it for finding other riders.

Yup, even if you don't use it you can search local routes. Look for ones with loads of people lining the "leaderboard" and most often those are group rides.

I recently relocated to Laurel County, about 50miles southeast of Danville. The only ride I know of is the Redbud Ride that starts and ends in London. It takes place the second weekend of April. They have multiple routes available from 24 to 100 miles. It's a huge event with thousands of riders from all around Kentucky and surrounding states.
