+1 It's not without traffic but light traffic and there are bike lanes. You can also look into some of the local schools/parks. We sometimes ride around Spain Park and Berry schools...

I'm in Helena - this is the route I normally ride https://traingo.com/routes/96 - I do laps 2-4 laps. Thanks for the tip on the school rides, I need to check out oak mountain again. Traffic scares me with the baby trailer.

No problem! You might also check out Lakeshore down around Samford. If I'm not mistaken there is a multi use trail there that may be along the lines of what your looking for.
