Birmingham, Alabama - Places to Ride

I am a cycling newbie and I pull a baby trailer. I am looking for a place to ride without traffic. My neighborhood is getting boring.

thanks!

+1 It's not without traffic but light traffic and there are bike lanes. You can also look into some of the local schools/parks. We sometimes ride around Spain Park and Berry schools...

I'm in Helena - this is the route I normally ride https://traingo.com/routes/96 - I do laps 2-4 laps. Thanks for the tip on the school rides, I need to check out oak mountain again. Traffic scares me with the baby trailer.

No problem! You might also check out Lakeshore down around Samford. If I'm not mistaken there is a multi use trail there that may be along the lines of what your looking for. There is also the BBC century, which has mulitple distances on Sept. 8th. Here's the link, https://www.bhambikeclub.org/century2007/century.html

A couple of my friends are doing the 200, but I am too new (less than a month). I could do the 31 mile loop but it would kill me. My friends that are riding built https://www.traingo.com
Maybe next year!
