Three weeks, like in the last weekend of Sept? That'll be the next time I'll be there. My house is on 33rd St. I can't claim to have been going there quite as long as you. The early 90s is probably when I started going down there. Before that was going to the outerbanks.

It helps if your whip is Ti. Cheap, old Ti, but Ti nonetheless. I just rinse it off with water and relube. I keep it in a workroom while I'm down, but that doesn't keep it from the salt air. We have gone thru many beach cruisers that are left year round and ridden in the ocean and pretty much neglected. Those have about a 3 year life span. |

Or drive over to Leland, park your car, and then ride south down Highway 133. There's a good bit of traffic till you get past the Mallory Creek housing development, but after that, you can relax and enjoy some nice rural countryside. |

Check out capefearcyclists.org. They do regularly scheduled rides Tuesday mornings, Wednesday evenings, Satuday mornings, and Sunday afternoons. Stop in at Two Wheeler Dealer for local bike maps if desired.
