Bike Shops in Charlotte

I am in Greenville, SC and a friend wants to get into cycling (specifically tri's), and she lives in Charlotte. Can anyone recommend a good shop in the area.

I would prefer to build her a bike or ebay a used, both of which would be much cheaper, but would recommend a shop if it provided allot of post purchase support: group rides, maintenance help, etc.

As this would be her first bike, she isn't looking to spend much. I don't have an exact number yet, but I am guessing around $1000, perhaps even less. I would like to get her on a decent frame with Shimano 105 or better, so that she could do wheel upgrades and the like later.

Anyone have any recommendations? At this time of the year, the above bike is doable on some of the closeouts that are around. She is 5'9", so a 54 frame would probably be the right size.

Thanks for any help!

think SouthPark cycles caters to the Tri crowd, also I know Bolt Brothers in Waxhaw have some Fuji and Blue Tri frames and builds.

+1 , I've also seen JR from Bike South on a Blue time trial bike recently.

Thanks for the help you all. I actually have an extra bike that will fit her, so I am going to let her borrow it for a little while and send her to a shop when she knows whether or not she will stick with cycling.
