Suncoast Trail --- Tampa, Fl

For those who live in the Tampa Bay area, 3 of us have just started biking and we are welcoming more to come along with us. We group ride on Saturdays generally at 6:30-7am. This is only our 4th ride but we are keeping our distance between the 20-30mile range averaging 18mph. As we get more riding time in, we'll try to increase both our distance and speed.

Feel free to PM if you are intersted.

Thanks

where do you start at? US 54? I have ridden the trail once or twice. Not sure I can drag myself out of bed that early on my day off tho.

We start at 54 and go up to 52 or off to the side road there (forget the name of the side trail). 6:30 is early. We are considering making it later on--say 7:30 or 8am.

OK, I'm such an idiot with directions, I always start at Lutz Lake Fern, which is about 7 miles from the Starkey Park. Is that first little park area about 2.5 miles from the Lake Fern, with the porto'pots start where 54 is? I could certainly handle the miles, but 18 is around my top speed, I would love to join you guys sometime, especially if you are meeting around 8 as opposed to 6:30... I average around 16
MPH, think I could keep up if I push a little?

Kitty,

You are more than welcome to come along but i'm not sure about changing the time. At least not yet. As we enter fall, we may consider going later though. I think with the draft you could keep up. PM me if you are still interested.
