My longest ride since resuming riding a couple weeks ago. 29 miles on the Baldwin Rail Trail. 14.3 mph going out, 15 mph coming back. Overall average 14.7. Felt much better and stronger riding.

Added a quick 10.25 miles today. Wanted to go 2 days in a row for the first time back and see how parts felt. Did fine.

And I had to hurry so I could go see the Jags choke another game.

Had a nice little ride on the Withlacoochie State Trail, the usual weekend ride.
The weather held out and although it was humid, we managed to get finished before 11, so it wasn't unbearably hot or full sun on the way back.

One of the best riding weeks for me in a great while. I did just a bit over 30 miles this past week in four rides. Did Atlanta Streets Alive yesterday for a good bit of that total in one. It actually got a bit hot, with my Garmin registering an average temp a bit over 100* down on the pavement.

26.6 mile solo ride today at a bit of a pokey pace.
I am having a load of trouble getting myself to do solo rides lately;
just can't seem to get motivated.
But, I met a new rider on the roads today. Maybe we'll meet again..........

42 miles. https://www.strava.com/activities/726098135

if anyone knows how to read my hr, I would love some input. PS, this was an easier ride, I didn't push much but didn't hold back a lot either.

Got another nice ride in down at the park. This weather is so nice that in spite of being on the bad end of a cold or allergies, I still had to get out. The whole family went, the son and I rode together while the wife (who is getting over the funk worse than me) walked the Boof pup. I was supposed to go to Critical Mass tonight but couldn't make it. One of those rare last of the warm nights too....

Did I ride today??? YES!!!!

My surgery was 6 weeks ago and I was ready to go. Did a whopping 13.6 miles on the Withlacoochee Trail.
I hope I'll be back up to speed in a few weeks.

We had done a 17 miler on Monday, but it was cut short by a friend who dropped by my house needing her bikes tuned up.
We got in a pretty quick 25.1 miles today. We went out with a headwind, so a bit faster than usual to the turn around. We fought the breeze coming back, but still wound up with our best average in a long, long time. I'm starting to feel a bit like my old self, but am still way too heavy.....

Great news, Ron! Just take it slow and easy for a week or two. I rode the Withlacoochee Trail ride on Sunday and put 30 miles on my Catrike! Beautiful day - thought about you and looked to see if you were riding yet. Glad to hear you're back riding.

Thanks Sue. Not sure when I'll be out again. I don't think we'll get much rain but the winds from the hurricane could be a bit too much.

Yup. The Trail is likely to be covered with downed branches. We have many many oak trees here in OTOW and I know it's going to be a mess. Stay safe.

My buddy and I did a 22 mile "stay loose" ride today, as we were planning on an 84 miler round trip on the Longleaf Trace tomorrow.
That ride has been called off, so we'll do something different.
Today's ride was supposed to be at an E-Z pace, but it never seems to work out that way..........

An abbreviated ride on Saturday...only 10.9 miles as I broke a spoke on the front wheel!
I have logged many, many miles on radially spoked 24 spoke wheelw without a problem,
but broke this one at the nipple.........and they were properly and evenly tensioned.
We were riding with a new member so I was sorry to have to cut the ride short.

I got out Saturday and upped my mileage to 16.6 miles but the average speed was the same. I'll be back to my usual soon.

After I go home we drove over to Ormond-by-the-Sea to check on a friends condo. I didn't realize so many people let before the storm and they were all headed back on Saturday. The line of cars and power company trucks from Ocala to the Daytona/Ormond Beach area was awful. It took us almost 4 hours to drive 70 miles.

I hope everyone in the SE area stayed safe during the storm.

Don't ya just love SR40??
I lived 1 1/2 blocks off 40 in Astor Park for 10 years. That is about 3 miles before you cross the St. Johns River.
Glad we're not there now.
Hopefully you found everything to be OK.

Glad to hear that you're back on the bike mate, that's good news.
👍

We were out on the withlacoochie today, rode up to Inverness and back to Croom Rittal, there was definitely a little breeze going north, but maybe it was blowing with us on the way back.

A good day for a ride, a bit less hot and humid than usual. It's not exactly cool yet, but I'll take what I can get until the florida "winter" arrives and makes biking easier.

Fortunately the storm didn't really affect us much, I hope the rest of you had the same luck.

I got out early today. The temp was 65F when I got to the trailhead. I was wishing I had worn a base layer undershirt. I saw Bruce (@DowneasTTer) and his wife. They have been AWOL since about May. They escaped to New England. Good to see them back.
I rode 16.6 miles but slightly faster than my last outing.
