i attended the Nashville meeting last night. it was very informative they are looking for public opinion on how and what needs to happen over the next 30 years in planning bike/walk community and how to get more people interested in using their bikes and feet more. there is a survey http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?s...00MqX2Fg_3d_3d that everyone needs to participate in and a blog http://walkbikeforum.blogspot.com/

I did the survey. The meeting I missed, I had no clue this was taking place or I would have attended.

Huntsville, Alabama's mayor sent his staff to Louisville for the cycling conference. Lots more "Share the Road" signs going up around town; more things to follow.

I got that email as well, though I didn't go to a meeting. The closest one was in Smyrna which I didn't have time to ride to on a weeknight. I took the online survey, though.

right now the survey is enough. the meeting explained the whys and whats but the end results come from the input from the survey.
