Miami/Ft. Laud Group Rides Dec 24-29
Are there any group rides Dec 24-29 that cater to road cyclists in the moderate to fast (but not competitive) speed category? I believe I average about 16-22 mph.
I already investigated a few bike clubs including Everglades, South Broward Wheelers and SFBC.

second the elite cycling guys.. They answered my emails promptly with info on local group rides. Also some of the guys at Max's Cycles on Sunset do quite a few of the group rides.

The Weston Flyers have daily rides (except Monday's) that leave from Weston Town Center (6:45 am weekdays and 7:00 am weekends). There is a planned Christmas Day ride from Weston to Las Olas Blvd. in Ft. lauderdale then up the coast north before heading back to Weston... about 62 miles. The group is one of the faster ones in the county... Lots of riders from nearby towns make the trip to ride with this group. Speeds are usually toward the top end of your range (22 mph+)... and at times quite a bit faster. Depends on the day and type of ride they're doing. Tuesday's and Thursday's are "fast" rides that routinely exceed 30 mph+ at points along the route. Wednesday's and Friday's are a bit slower... 20 - 24 mph. Saturday's and Sunday's... F-A-S-T.
Good luck and enjoy your stay!!!

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I am here now and looking forward to some group rides, thanks to your suggestions. the Weston Flyers seem a bit beyond my range. I did find rides for this Friday and Sat from SBW and Everglades, and on mapmyride, I found a Taft ride, every Sunday 8am.
Thanks again!
Thanks again!

If you're already east, I wouldn't go far inland to Weston to ride. There's plenty of riders, scenery, and options along A1A alone.
