A New North Georgia Rider.

Just wanted to say hi to all those who ride in N. Georgia. I have been riding for the last few months after years of not riding. I live in between Athens and Gainseville in an area called Dry Pond. I ride a blue KHS Flite 250 so if you see me be sure to wave.

I often see people riding, typically in full kit on 82 but in other areas as well, so I know you guys are out there. As a matter of fact, while surfing the webs for bike clubs, I came across the Nitty Gritty Bike Band web site and noticed that the picture on the homepage was taken only a few miles from my home. Would be great to here from some of you guys.

As for me, should you see me, I am the Puerto Rican guy, not wearing Lycra (soon?), silver/white Gyro helmet and silver Scott SPD SL shoes, and Road ID bracelet on my right wrist...DON'T RUN ME OVER!!

Welcome, I too hail from the N. GA area, Dahlonega to be exact. We are riding 3-Gap @ 7:30 Saturday morning. If you are interested you can meet up with all of us at Dahlonega Wheelworks; it should be a nice EASY ride !!

Mike

Hey, thanks for the invite, unfortunately I am going out of town tomorrow. (Though I do plan to sneak an early morning ride in.) I do hope to join some upcoming rides soon though, until then, have fun!

I am up in Habersham County just outside of Cornelia. If you ever make it up this way let me know and we'll get together for a ride. We did a 54 mile ride last Saturday morning that made a loop down through Maysville and Gillsville. I usually try to do a 20 - 30 mile ride 2 or 3 times during the week if the weather and my schedule permits. I just recently got back into riding so I am still a little slow (actually a lot slow) on the climbs but I'm getting faster. I bought a hybrid several months back and got hooked. I bought my road bike, a Felt F60 4 weeks ago and I'm loving it.
