What is Cervelo Thinking???

Recently, we went into our local bike shop (the Racer's Edge) to discuss the new S5. We were thinking of Christmas presents (!) but were told the shop is losing its franchise for Cervelo to another shop. The other shop is a TENNIS STORE!!!! What are they thinking??? Check out the two different shops and YOU decide: ARE THEY OUT OF THEIR MINDS??? Would you buy a bike from a tennis shop???

Why not call Cervelo's customer service department and ask?
The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. - Psalm 103:8

I am a cyclist. I am not the fastest or the fittest. But I will get to where I'm going with a smile on my face.

Let's look at possibilities
1. Location? (I don't know Boca so I can't say)
2. Lack of competing brands inside the store
3. Willingness of Stuart to commit to a larger inventory. You do know that in order to carry certain lines you have to commit to a certain minimum level of inventory, say $50,000.
4. Perceived management competency
5. Business expansion plans (I'm not in on either's plans, but Cervelo might be)
6. Is Stuart adding some big name or prominent local cyclist/store owner to their staff/ownership?

Things aren't always what they seem at first blush. We have almost ZERO information from your post on which to base a business decision.
72 Frejus (for sale), Holdsworth Record (for sale), special CNC & Gitane Interclub / 74 Italvega NR (for sale) / c80 French / 82 Raleigh Intl MkII f&f (for sale)/ 83 Trek 620 (for sale)/ 84 Bruce Gordon Chinook (for sale)/ 85 Ron Cooper / 87 Centurion IM MV (for sale) / 03 Casati Dardo / 08 BF IRO / 09 Dogma FPX / 09 Giant TCX0 / 10 Vassago Fisticuff
