Anyone up for a ride on the Nature Coast Trail on March 8 ?

lookinUp and I will be riding till we're ready to stop (5 miles? 25 miles? who knows?).
We'll be meeting at 9:30 AM at the Trenton trailhead of the Nature Coast Trail.
We're hoping you can join us. Post here or send either of us a PM if you can make it.

Darn, I'd love to meet up for a ride but that's a 2 1/2 hour drive for me. Sorry.

Here's a video I took a while back of the Nature Coast Trail. It's really fun trail with a long bridge over the Suwannee River. Ron's going to be trying out a new saddle and I'm going to be riding my new Trek Madone 5.2 on its (almost) maiden voyage. COME JOIN US!!

I rode the Nature Coast Trail in 2011. This was my first visit. I stopped in Trenton for photos of the train depot then went to Old Town. Rode to Fanning Springs. Loved the railroad bridge over the Suwannee River. Here I saw huge sturgeons jumping like crazy. I will be riding in Chiefland on March 12th. Then will be riding the paved trails in Branford and Madison. Nice video lookinUp. I left a comment. You guys enjoy. Take care.

I would love to make that trip, but cannot leave my wife for that long (health issues). However if anyone wants to do some rides in central Florida I would be glad to join in. West Orange, Seminole Wekiva, or Cross Seminole, Or Cady Way. The Cross Seminole and Seminole Wekiva can be combined to make about a 50 mile ride. The Spring to Spring in Volusia county and the Seminole Wekiva combined with some road riding in between combined make about a 50 mile ride as well Beautiful trails.

Jim--
Think all us Florida (and GA) BF folks should make a plan to get together down your way for a ride. It's more central than Ocala. I'm up for a ride if you want to plan one sometime the end of March or into April.

I am all for this. I will start a new thread tomorrow titled Bike Forums SE group ride (or something like that, after I think it thru) with some questions to see what kind of feedback we can get. The possibilities are endless. Other sub forums do this once or twice a year.

Shameless bump.

Time is running short if you want to ride with us. We'll be leaving from the Trenton trailhead around 9:30 Thursday morning (March 8). I may be a few minutes late. I have to drive from Hernando to Trenton. According to Mapquest its about a 250 mile drive.

Ron,

It's about 60 miles from Hernando and about the same for me from Ocala. Looking forward to the ride and always enjoy meeting other BF members. I'm surprised no one else is joining us - it's not that far for several of the folks. Thanks for the BUMP!

I can talk about all kinds of stuff on here. I talk to people when I'm out riding, I nod and say hello.... . If I saw either of you (Ron, LookinUp or Linda) while I was out riding and you engaged me in conversation I would be perfectly ok, would talk no problem. BUT .... If I have to start a conversation or meet somebody... a bit of social anxiety kicks in... and I don't do so good... Sucks!! But its just the way I am I'm not so bad that I cant function... But it does make it harder for me to meet new people and do things.... <sigh> Now... If I could have conned one of the 2 friends that ride with me sometimes into going with me, that might have worked... But NOOOO they just buy bikes and don't ride them.

But anyway.... have fun!!!

You won't be meeting new people. It'll be BF folks you talk with all the time.
Sorry you can't make it.
