Hello, from Florida

I'm in Seminole county, just a short ride away from the Seminole Wekiva Trail. I'm fairly new to biking and mostly ride that trail. I'll be looking for other trails and extending my range as I get better conditioned. I'm just bought a Schwinn Dual Sport and intend on upgrading as my knowledge, experience, and budget increases. I also have an old Trek Sport MTB. I plan on doing some off road riding as well.

Hi there! Welcome to the forum and the area. I am out in Oviedo and ride the Cross Seminole Trail from near UCF to either Big Tree Park or Layer (sp?) School in Winter Springs...depending on how many miles my wife and I are trying to get in for the day. The ride from your section of the trail towardsOviedo/ UCF is pretty nice. Less walkers during the week by far. There is a MTB trail by Big Tree Park for you to play on. Do you know how to use Google Maps to find Bike Paths in your area?

My wife and I are working towards the upcoming Tour De Cure American Diabetic Association ride in March, so we need to get a lot of time in before then!

I've only been out to the Wekiva Springs trails. I haven't use the MTB trail Big Tree Park yet. I didn't know about using Google to find trails, but I just did a search and found out how. Thanks for the tip.

The invaluable one is: traillink.com.
There are plenty to keep you going on there.

Have fun!
