Georgetown SC

My husband and I were in Georgetown recently driving around and ended up at the south ferry and drove back out to 17 north of McClellanville. These roads look perfect to ride on since there mostly huge plantations and seemed to have little traffic. Does anyone have any info on this area? Are they logging out there. I try to avoid dogs and trucks.

Secondly! The mosquitos were unbearable when we stopped to take pictures. I haven't done riding in conditions like this before. I thought if we keep moving they won't bother as much,. Do they die down in the fall? I have never seen them this bad, and I thought I'd seen mosquitos.
