I really just want to go for a nice long ride, however, the cold and rain has been making it next to impossible. I miss spring, summer and fall. Living this close to the blueridge and not being able to take advantage is horribly painful.

I feel your pain bro. Forecast for the next few days has some sort of rain or flurries every day. My wife gets tired of me talking about the weather in California (used to live there many years ago).

To make it worse I just finished building a nice Moser!

It becomes tough to control in rainy weather and slippy roads.

I would expect that from a Yankee, but down here we have a reasonable expectation of sunny > 40 degree days in wintertime. I don't particularly mind getting myself wet but hate having to spend a couple of hours cleaning the bike after a ride.

Ride leader for a social I participate in says this all the time. I reflect on it often as I sit on the couch wrapped in a blanket instead of riding in the cold rain.

Agree, I've been biking to work the past couple of month, but recent snow has me driving in the last week or so. I don't mind biking in it, I just don't trust the drivers on the road.

I haven't come up with anything witty yet. You would figure that time dry and warm would provide more inspiration, but alas....

Awwwwww.....as it always turns out...SPRING is here at last. I admit....it was a horrible winter for riding in Virginia (yes, I admit to being a fair weather cyclist...but I do commute). I've been out several times now, and have enjoyed it. My challenge is having to train for the Marine Corps Half Marathon....it eats into my cycling time.
