Any Road Bike Rental Recommendaton - Malibu - L.A. - SF Area

Considering doing the July Gran Fondo Ride at Malibu area, but had bad experiences shipping bikes. Can anyone recommend a good bike store to rent good quality Road Bike in the Malibu, Los Angeles or San Francisco Bay Area
