Tecate to Ensenada Bicycle Race!

I would like to introduce you to Baja Bike Race!

Baja Bike Race is a cycling race to push the bicyclist enthusiast past their comfort zone. The route takes you from the city of Tecate to the city of Ensenada in Baja California Mexico totaling 73 miles. During the ride, you will climb almost 4000' with 4 major hills. To create additional competition amongst riders, we will have a created a race within the race to the top to one of the hills.

If you are not the competitor type, this race is still for you. Racers will be separated by projected race times, so if you just want to ride and not race feel free.

Yes, It will be a little warm but we will be starting early in the morning to beat some of the heat. June is better then July and August. Key is to hydrate and be prepared for the heat.

So a re-do of Dave Manwaring's Moday International bike ride? This is where it all started.

The route will be similar but the event will be completely different. We have made it a race as well as a ride. There will be live race timing, race prize purses and a huge expo at the start and finish lines. The Monday International ride will always be what it was and we are not taking anything away from it. It paved the road for cycling in Baja California and we are proud to bring back the Tecate to Ensenada route. Hope to see you participate and here is some more info:

PRIZES AND AWARDS

AGE GROUP AWARDS will be presented to the top 3 in all division, the top 3 overall males and females are excluded from the age group awards and can only recieve one prize. All age group awards will be mailed out after the race.

In addition, there will be an award for:

King of the Hill
Queen of the Hill
All Participants that finish will receive finishers medals!

PRIZE PURSES will be given to the top 3 male and female competitors overall.

No refunds will be given. All sales are final.

If you have purchased and can not make it, you can transfer to another person ($15 fee). Last day to transfer is May 31, 2015.

Active duty military members who are unable to participate because they are unexpectedly deployed may receive a refund. To qualify you must submit a copy of your official military orders along with a written request no later than 10 days prior to event day. See our FAQ section for instruction.

Baja Bike Race es una carrera ciclista para impulsar al ciclista entusiasta más allá de su zona de comodidad. Este evento también es un paseo divertido en bicicleta, así que no se preocupe si la competencia no es lo suyo. La ruta lo llevará de la ciudad de Tecate a la ciudad de Ensenada en Baja California, México, dando un total de 73 millas. Durante el viaje, se subirán casi 4000 pies con 4 grandes colinas. Para hacer una competencia adicional entre ciclistas, hicimos una carrera dentro de la carrera hacia la cima de una de las colinas. Los participantes con el tiempo más rápido ganarán el ser los reyes de la colina!

*Si usted no es de naturaleza competitiva, aun puede participar en esta carrera. Los ciclistas serán clasificados por su tiempo de carrera proyectado, así que si usted solo quiere pasear y no participar en la carrera, siéntase libre de hacerlo.
