Kestrel
First time on this site. Bought a Kestrel Talon 6mo. ago l lower the seat to lowest point. Needless to say the frame on seat tube has slight crack, I took it to Performance Bycicles and they are saying that it doesn't fall under warranty. I feel that this is a design flaw and therefore it should be under warranty. Please advise

So you broke the seat and think Kestrel should foot the bill? Also performance will probably give you store credit if you return it.

Building consensus of internet strangers might work wonders for fueling your indignation, but nothing we say in here is going to make Performance or Kestrel change their mind.
Did you buy the frame from this Performance shop? If so, did they help you with the sizing? It sounds like you bought a frame WAY too big for you.
If you bought the frame anywhere else (Craigslist, Ebay, etc.), you get nothing, because all carbon frame manufacturers offer a warranty only to the original purchaser, and they must have the receipt and go through the original shop.
If that's the case, they were very polite for not laughing you out of the shop.

I used to ride a Kestrel. I liked it, and it fit me to a tee, but it had one problem in that it was easy to crack. Every time I'd turn around, I'd see a hairline fracture somewhere in the frame, especially down at the bottom bracket. Granted, I was a hard charger back then and liked to muscle big gears.

Is the frame cracked or the paint? A picture might help. Otherwise, what calamarichris said.
More info please.
