Watch / Ride to Watch Amgen Tour

Does anyone know of any groups or small rides that allow recreational riders to ride to a vantage point along stage 2 of this year's Amgen tour? I know Baldy had a few LBS events where you could ride to XYZ location and take it in. I have to think there's shops in that area that might be doing something similar.

I"m torn between walking to the mission brewery when they ride down 14th on day one or riding up honey springs.

for me, it would depend on how hot it's gonna get that day. top of honey springs or the lyons valley/japatul intersection would be good if it's
not 80+ degrees. gotta work that afternoon so i'll likely opt for the laurel street climb or the promenade through balboa park early on.

I'll be at stage one where the hill is at.

*bump* I'm also curious if there are any group rides to see Stage 2. I've kept an eye on SFVBC.org but all I see if their Terrible Tujunga ride on Sunday - nothing yet on Monday. I've also been monitoring the Pasadena shops like Incycle and Velopasadena and haven't seen anything there as well. Finally, nothing on socalcycling.com.

In any event, I'm planning to ride it. If push comes to shove, maybe we can coordinate a bikeforums ride.

Even though Stage 2 is a Monday, there'll be a s h i t ton of cyclists and shops with tents up on Angeles Crest.
