Ortega Hwy closed due to sinkhole!
I just saw an article dated 1/25/17 that said Cal Trans closed it between Antonio in OC and the Riverside County end as the road sunk from the recent rains--they didn't say specifically where but that only residents were allowed in. Could be up to 3 weeks to fix! So no access to the San Juan Trail or Caspers Park if you're hiking or mtb'ing. Or road riding Ortega for that matter (not that many do that--too scary for me).
