Tour de Big Bear

Anyone else going? Wife & I doing the 70 mile route plus poker run on Friday. Very well run, nice routes & well-stocked SAG stations! Storms should be gone by tonight.

How was the ride? I missed this one, I've gone thelast 3 years. Loved the bacon at the 2nd stop.

Great time on the ride. Weather was great. A little cloud cover going up to Onyx Summit made it nice. As usual volunteers were outstanding. Easy to eat too much food at the SAGs if you're not careful! Mind the altitude if you're sensitive Onyx Summit is 8500' ASL.
Highly recommend this ride.

Tour de Big Bear is a really great event with a lot going for it.

The food is legendary (esp. liked the bacon at stop 2, the BBQ ribs at stop 3 and the smoothies at stop 4), the routes are excellent and VERY well marked (pretty much impossible to get lost), excellent scenery if you like mountains, lake and trees, super friendly folks at all the stops, even at check-in and the finish.

Even the Strava segments are marked with signs on the roadside so you know where to put in your max efforts! Plus, you have Police control at many (but not all) intersections.

Overall an excellent event, highly recommended.
