Javier...you could do the 6 faces of Soledad. I hear that's pretty easy.
Seriously, though, heading up and down the coast is a great ride, and as difficult/easy as you want it to be.

Hello everyone,
I've been floating around here the past couple weeks and decided I might as well introduce myself. i did make an introduction in the intro section, but figured I'd do another one here. I just started biking a couple months ago, I usually bike on weekend morning here in Long Beach. I bike on the San Gabriel River trail, I start on Del Amo Blvd in the city of Lakewood/Cerritos. I started biking because I registered with my workplace to do the MS Bike Tour in october...ever since then I've been addicted to biking. I hope I learn a lot of great things from here because i am a total beginner. Also hoping to maybe finally do some organized rides with some other beginners because I have yet to learn to ride in a group.
Other interesting things about me, I love martial arts, currently studying Kendo. I also am a car lover mostly import cars. I even started my own car team! so yah, that's my short intro.
Thanks.

I just put a 150 shot on my ride yo, I started spraying and instantly the intake manifold flew off then the floor panel flew off with it.
By the time I knew it, my whole car was coming off in pieces I was going so fast.
Then I hit the warp speed.
You dont want to know what happened...

Socalcycing...can you please point me to your posts that don't bash Ovoleg in some way? I'm sure they're out there, but, well...you do seem to always be saying something negative about him.
I've asked before, but what's your beef with the guy?

I agree with Mo'Phat on the coastal ride. I just moved from San Diego to Temecula, but would hit the coast almost every week when I lived in PQ.
BTW- I am new to this forum, and if there is anyone on the SoCal board who lives/rides in the Temecula area, give me a shout. I am sick of riding alone in the heat!

Lots of us ride between Escondido and Rainbow...The hills of Fallbrook and Ramona. Keep a lookout for when those rides go.

unfortunately work/lifestyle changes forced us out...sold our little ghetto home (1850 sqft) and traded up to a 3,000 sqft 5 bdrm for @ 600 a month less. Since my wife and I work 85% from home, it just made sense to have the home office, rooms for both kids, big yard, great schools, and a 3 car garage to hold all my bikes...but enough of the finances...
You are soooo right about the rest...cycling here sucks compared to SD...the drivers are even more clueless, the roads are bad (lucky for me there is some good mtn biking), and it is Africa hot for 3 months a year...I really miss Torrey and the coastal breeze!

Noob from Tustin.
Just joined.
I usually spend my riding time on Peters Canyon Mountain to Sea trail in Irvine. Just getting back into the swing. Currently my ride is an Electra 7 speed cruiser. I do at least 10 miles a day, stopping to feed the ducks just south of the 5 in the mornings.
Having been into touring in my teens and early twenties and doing all day rides I have found it difficult to resume cycling 20 years later. Comfort and endurance are the main issues. I am planning on a new bicycle here very soon and have some tough decisions to make.

Welcome Driver.
You are well on your way to getting past the difficult stage. And you'll find plenty of support here.
We are all envious... the new-bike process is half the fun!
