Yep...

The SS wheelset are Ritchey Girder wheels...32 spoke and seem to be fairly bombproof, which is nice.

All in all, a fairly fruitful couple of days of shopping with the Swapmeet on Sunday.

Re: My Jamis Dakar I picked up at the swap meet...it looks like the sellers just recently either built it up from parts or it was beaten up in its former life. The rear wheel needs to be trued...it's at least 1/2" outta whack. The rear hydraulic brake hose or tube or whatever is about 6" too long...probably robbed from a larger bike. The front caliper is way too tight, and I don't know squat about adjusting disc calipers. The rear caliper is way too loose, and I think I need to re-bleed the brakes...which I don't know how to do. Both derailleurs are terribly maladjusted.

Other than that, it's a fantastic bike.

Theoretically, I should have known this, but when I was checking it out, it only had the front tire on it, and that was flat. The rear was still in the back of the truck...so I couldn't test ride it. I figured I could fix whatever was wrong with it.

Nope. I don't need a helmet.

I'm on a saddle mission right now, as everyone knows. I exchanged yet another saddle today. Between this new one, and a couple of others that I'm borrowing, I'm bound to hit the jackpot sooner or later!

Markdown Madness sale at Performance starts thursday. Yahoo, what do I want next? I need a XT chain and XTR cassette for my Yeti, and a front derailer cable.

That one didn't come in wide width. I exchanged for an Avatar today. This will be the last Specialized saddle I'll try. I think my rear-end is telling me it needs a different brand.

They didn't stock the Alias in 155? I have the 143 Avatar. Maybe you just need narrower?

It didn't even show that 155 was available in the Alias in the catalog they had. I see it's available on the Specialized website though. Any narrower and my sit bones won't be supported.

You may end up liking the Avatar anyway. Mine is fine.

Did you get the newer model without the stitching?

No. That's one concern I have by just looking at it. I think the seams may be a problem...

I just bought the same one! At Performance, as well. Blue even, but white shoulders.
