Okay, so this isn't really shopping. I got this free for raising $1,500 in the first 45 days of AIDS/Lifecycle. It's made by Voler...mesh down the sides and inside the arms.. Nice!

That is COOL! How heavy is the jacket? I got one from the MS ride last year, but it is too heavy for California weather...

It's just a windbreaker, perfect for SoCal. I was afraid it would be a real jacket, which I would have no use for either.

But when you get a road bike (skinny tires), you'll never be able to wear it!

/great beer, btw. I rocked my Stone Arrogant Bastard jersey yesterday...beer jerseys are almost as good as donut jerseys.

Giordana Silverline bibs just arrived from Sierra Trading Post - on sale for $50.

They fit too! Can't wait to try them on a long ride.

My @ss has been killing me on rides longer than 60 miles. So I just ordered one of these. Hopefully it'll help...

I want a Swift as my next saddle.

I ordered it from Harris Cyclery. It was the cheapest place that I found it.

At least until I was looking to find a picture of it yesterday, it's cheaper at Branford. hahaha.

That is impressive. I am sure there will be an improvement. I had to have one right out the gate. How did you keep the seat post from punching through your shorts? Duck tape?

Mo'Phat 03-27-07 01:47 PM

?

Generally, the saddle will keep the seatpost from 'punching through your shorts'. If that was the result...I think I'd never ride a bike again.

roadfix 03-27-07 01:48 PM

Nice saddle, Ron. :)

George,
I think you need to give us all a lesson on your cool mod for the Brook saddles!

This is not his first saddle?

Pfft, shopping nuthing! A bud gave me this computer. New and still in the box! He bought it and didn't like it as he tried to set it up. I refused it at first but he kept insisting that I take it. After a couple of weeks I gave in. I think he knew I'd get his money out of it. I set it up then showed it to him on the bike but he wouldn't take it back. I even offered to set it up on his bike for him. He didn't like it, said it was hard to set up and numbers were too small.

$160, never used, double wireless with cadence. I offered the guy money, wouldn't take it. Lunch, wouldn't take it. I guess you can do that when you have a $4,000 and a $9,000 bike! I'm waiting for him to get tired of his Hummer!:D

Sorry...I had just posted sarcastically in the Botto thread, and forgot where I was. What I meant was, I didn't understand your post where you asked how he kept the seat post from punching through his shorts.

THEN, I realized that you were being more of a sarcastic sassafrasser than I normally am.

IIIIIII'm dum.

Thanks for the info. I was late in ordering and so they ran out of my size (small). At the end, I ordered the DM Contour Plus bibs for $80 out-the-door. This will be my most expensive bibs to date.

I now have enough bike shorts to bike-to-work everyday taking into account a 2-3 days drying period... I just have to actually bike to work. :p

I was just cutting/butchering my new honey B17. All I have to do is smooth out the bottom of the sides. My dog likes the trimmings.

I cut my with a Dremel and could have used the same cutter to cut at an angle, but since its my first one, I better not. I am going to use sandpaper medium and fine.
