Does this mean you're joining?? Purty please... I bet Vertical Bob will if I sweet talk him (or just tell him that we'll throw in an extra 2,000 ft up Little GMR on the way back.

I have NO idea what you are talking about! I merely speak of the suddenly exposed views of lush valleys, an arduous yet rewarding climb to a heart-pounding peak and then the stomach-tickling rush of an immediate descent back. I speak only of the ride. How you wish to muddy your Italian pants in some gutter is strictly up to you.

I do not think that I could dream of a better reason to be there for this ride! I think that this ride is going to have to be extra long and hard to just so that we can all experience the wonders that M.E. has beautifully described!

That was a tantalizing description. When is this ride?

Wellll... I'd do the ride some time, but New Years day is a Monday and the normal NY ride is just out the door for me, don't even have to start the car, and I'm home early enough to keep everyone happy. Figure out your date, are you set on New Years day? Any reason not to do it sooner?

You know, John, I'm just trying my hand at suggesting rides on here. I'm so used to asking Bob (sweetheart that he is) last minute or another riding bud or just joining in on a group ride, that this is kind of new for me. I sort of just go one way or the other depending on who posts and I so want to please everyone! (I've yet to set a night ride for this very reason... pathetic). So, to answer your question, yes, early December would work, and perhaps I'll just set a date. And if they come, they come...and if not, well, I'll carry bear spray. Regardless, I hope you'll join. Perhaps, Sarah and Cathy would like to as well?

I really think the women on here are spectacular (I mean that... all of us are unique), but the men...oh, the men. You guys just delight me (and for once, I swear, I promise, honest to goodness, I give you my word...NO innuendo meant! Although, Extort is rather yummy and...Oh, sorry...ignore that.)

I've been to Crystal Lake in January. If you pick the right day its awesome. If not, well, they don't plow the road past the gate. At least they plow the road to Mt. Wilson and there are a couple of places to stop and get warm. Last New Years I just made it down before the rain/sleet. Others werent so lucky. It's not a ride for the faint at heart or the foolish. How about Crystal Lake this Saturday? V.B.

Okay, I'm going to stop being a wuss. Here it goes, who can ride one of the first weekends in December ?(two suggestions and it will be set), and who wants to do this ride at the end of January? (between Stagecoach and Palm Springs - which makes it a great training ride -again, two suggestions...)

I'll set two dates. That a way, hopefully, all you billygoats can make one or two (if you are really wanting to be tortured) dates. I'm happy to do it twice (I'm completely off my rocker, remember?). I'll be the slowest one up, and possibly the last one down (unless Vertical Bob takes pity on me, like he usually does... ). We'll plan a lunch and then chow down (I'm trying to sound tough. Is it working?)

Now. Ladies?? Um...Ladies??? Help me out here...
