the good stuff

i walk my dog every night at midnight, and she used to have this one patch of grass she would munch on about a block away from the house. well, a couple of nights ago, we discovered that her patch of grass - "the good stuff" - had been removed by someone. this kinda bummed me out, because i always just walk whatever route she chooses, and she always chooses to make a stop at her grass patch. anyway, so yesterday i went to the pet supply store and bought a couple containers of wheatgrass. when got home and gave it to her, she buried her nose in it, took a big whiff, and walked away.
so now i'm wondering what it was about "the good stuff" that made it so good.

That's a bummer, dog hair. Is there any way you can find out what type of grass that was? Poor doggie, people messin' up her mojo!!

My guess is another dog's poop. Dogs are weird like that.

i thought about asking the people who own that property, but i'm afraid they'll tell me they've been using some sort of bizarre pesticides.
i can't imagine it would be anthything different than what's growing in most people's front yards. it's just that long, uncontrolled stuff that grows out from under your fence.

You never tried eating it with her to see what it tasted like? Shame on you!

Does your dog glow in the dark?

Trust me, you don't want to know. Every time I see my dog licking or eating something, I lose my appetite when I see what it is. Vomit, poop, wet spackle, daipers, etc. Never has it been anything I would be interested in.

It's probably sweet.

Sounds like it might be Dallisgrass or Johnson grass. Here's a good site for weed pictures: https://www.ipm.ucdavis.edu/PMG/weeds_common.html
