Okay I am not very verbose unlike some of you other BF'rs so this will be short. Let me start by saying this was FUN!!!! If you have never done anything like this with your significant other you are missing out. I thought this was gonna be just run and ride, but there is a little involved (LOTSA HILLS).I heard so many people whining about how difficult the course was. My wife did not expect so many hills either so she was hurting, RUNNING up the hills really knocked her out (yes I said RUNNING). Geez I forgot how much I HATE to run. It was a short loop only six miles, but when you have to run up hills it REALLY SUCKS. Anyways we did okay (I think) we came in the middle of the pack, our time was 1 hour 22 minutes (our goal was under 1 hour 30 minutes mission accomplished) . I cannot wait till Gabriel is 14 years old so we can do it together. Okay pics attached:

Great pics. Go Wheaties! I've done Muddy Buddy before (about 2.5 years ago). It was fun...but muddy. Also, my friend and I got giddy and laughed so much, the sergeants who were there to motivate us just told us to go ahead at each obstacle. We couldn't even get over the wall, so one guy had to push us by our butts over. Humiliating but fun.

Did you take advantage of the Red Hook ESB beer garden after the race? Nothing like a few brews on a Sunday morning to assuage the running pain in the quads.

Muddy Buddy's a blast! I posted somewhere else, but the Chicago one this year was in the rain and was uber-Muddy....

Way to go!
