Well...shhhh. But I plan on having cold beers in my cooler for both this ride and Crystal Lake as a post ride treat.

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

Try riding a metric after a huge turkey dinner with all the trimmings. I did! Gawd, I didn't lose the dinner but it was a near thing at the 40 mile point!

Awesome, Serg. It's a nice ride...easy route. And really, it is. You climb up (and if you don't want to go all the way to the ski hut, you don't have to), then you ride down almost all the way back (just a few rollers on Sierre Madre). So, the climbing is mostly in the beginning.

I'm just worried about my gearing, but I'm willing to give it a shot...pending childcare (story of my life) of course.

No worried about the route as much as the timing of all family activities. Being born in communist we country celebrate New Year much more then Christmas. I'll try and make the ride.

Hi all. I'm pretty sure I'll be able to make it out to the ride.

I've never gone up the 39, only GMR. Which one is harder?

39 is tougher IMO. But GMR I've been up many times (too many to count). I've only been up 39 once and in intense heat. Someone else may weigh in differently.
