it is a VERY FUN but VERY VERY technical trail, those hairpins are just large enough for the guys 17" elesworth truth setup. I got a good scar on the to of my knee cap from that trail. LOVE IT I'm gonna hate to see it go.

The stuco wire you see in the corners are for traction so it doesn't became a sand box or have heavy bracking bumps.

houses, business.............mostly the CITY. it's on city land and is deems a hazard. Even though it's etched on the side of the hill of C'bad PD, the police them selves ride and run this trail.

i hate carlsbad. that city has ***** just about every inch of land they have. it used to be such a great place with so much open space.
i'm amazed that they can be so overdeveloped, yet they can't seem to be able to afford to have their damned stoplights adjusted correctly. f them.

yes, c'bad is the worst. All went downhill after the city gave up that land where the old raceway was. Now they filled that hole and put homes there.

it's a very fun place, need to know how to ride TIGHT lines, coz some of those ladders have 5ft+ drops into the creek below.

I hope it's here too in the future. Only time will tell.......

if tony hawk couldn't help save a historic carlsad property, i don't think a petition will stop that city from plowing a bike trail under.

i swear, oceanside's govt. may be corrupt, but carlsbad is controlled by a bunch of *****s(hoarz). and i mean that in the nicest way.

I used to race motocross and go to the Grand Prix's at the carlsbad raceway long ago and was bummed to see it closed down.
