Interested somewhat fast paced SART ride on 12/2
I am doing a somewhat fast paced ride down SART Saturday morning. Due to time constraints I plan on starting around 8:30am at Weir Canyon bridge hoping to maintain 18mph or higher on the way down to PCH. On the way back if we have a tail wind we can maintain an even faster pace. I think the total mileage is about 53 miles, if I get enough people interested I will post a routeslip. If you want to maintain a slower pace we can leave earlier.

Octico,
Is a new person welcome? I need to see what the other/ok better half has planned, but I may be interested in this ride. I live up in Chino Hills, would park at Green River and would meet you/group at the bridge. David |
Absolutely you are welcome! Just make sure you don't wear a Silver and Black Raider jersey or some crazy helmet with horns on it, silver and black face paint is allowable though :) Just post back when you find out if you can come out and play. I already got the okay, from my better half.

Hey, you never said you were a Chargers fan! How bought that spike, fumble, no its a illegal forward pass, 10 minute cluster of crap deal in the 4th qtr!

Are you riding alone Oc? 18 average is pretty tough on the trail right now with the way the wind has been blowing. You'll need a strong group to do it. Gina has to work but I wouldn't mind riding. Not sure that I can cause I get of at 2 am and to bed at 3:00 earliest. Not sure if I'd be conscious by 7am or 5:30 rising time!:D
Is your wife riding or you alone? |

I usually start at 9:30, but 8:30 would be cool. But if not possible, no problem, it's your ride!...I'd prolly get dropped anyway!:D

Octico - I guess I'm out. I forgot about the Sat yoga / Sunday you get to ride deal we made awhile back. Unfortunately, there is no yoga for her on Sunday morning. This may change so in the future maybe another Saturday morning ride will work.
I'm thinking I may do a Sunday morning SART ride from GR to HB. I'll look for team Wheaties on Sunday and say hello. David |
No problem Dave I usually ride on Sundays.

Are you still going to ride even if you don't get a group? I have a riding partner that is broken hearted cause she feels she won't be able to keep the 18 pace. She's on the comeback right now! She can, but it will be painful!
|
Yeah I am definitely riding on Sat.,I had already planned on it. Gina can join us on the ride, I don't mind reducing the speed for her,but if you don't mind I will head down to Bolsa Chica along PCH and ride back alone.

Gina has to work, so I was talking about my buddy Ana. She's a more fit and competitive rider than Gina. But she's been having some back problems on her comeback. If there isn't a group and you don't mind riding alone, maybe I too will pass on the ride. I'll settle for my usual 42 from Imperial. This way I'll get another hour sleep too and Ana won't be so hurt about being left out of the ride. And you'll be able to keep your target time for the return.:D Oh well, someday, I'll make one of the group rides!:) |
I would not like to go ride on 12/2
