Year End Numbers--Who's a Slave to the Graph?
Ok so I wanted to see if anyone out there collects as much data and I do. People who don't ride can't believe the amount of data that I collect. But it's really simple. I just ride my bike and my Polar Heart Rate Monitor (S720i or S625x) does all the work. The graphs are easy too. The program comes with defaulted graphs.
I used a PowerTap SL power metering system for a lot of my training and didn't use my Polar. So the year-end totals are actually higher but this is what was recorded.
One note on software--Power Agent software is ok but Cycling Peaks software is much better. Problem with both, is getting graphs to post online is difficult at best.
So here are my Polar graphs.
https://www.epictrain.com/coaches.html
Year end numbers:
Mileage-- 9875 miles (3 times across the US and then some)
Elevation Gain-- 655,161 feet of climbing (climbing Mt Everest 22.5 times)
Hours-- 732 hours on the bike (1-- 30 day month 24 hours a day is 720 hours)
I WANT TO SEE YOUR GRAPHS BABY. SHOW ME!!

I only use bikejournal for stats. I did donate my $20 though, so I can't afford all that fancy stuff!

194 hours and 2 minutes on the saddle
Mr. Beanz

No, it's free. I just donate $20 casue I've been using it for the last 2 or 3 years. Went up from #10 to $20, but I'm sure he'd appreciate anything. BUT for the $20, you get a lil yellow jersey by your name and a few extra goodies. Like viewing journals of ther yellow jerseys. Printable journals. a few other things I don't pay much attention to.
Cool cause you can view your miles compared to others on the entire site. And can form a club within the site. SO that all our names are on one page. Kinda like Socal forum is to BF.net.
They also have a forum and ride schedules.
DAM, I can't type, but I'm not a secratary for a living!

I mentioned that to SCV on the GMR ride. I don't think he realized it ws from this group. Maybe rename it to "SoCal" club since you've already got the foundation.

1790 since May (when I got my Garmin), 97k elevation gain.
June and July totally destroyed my averages. Damned social life. I won't make THAT mistake again.
Minimum of 5k for 2007.

But if Vireo gets me a job at the meth factory, I am sure that I can post more miles next year!
