How much extra weight do you carry? [and the reason i'm "slow"]

So i finally got out and rode yesterday. Did my usual Krispy Kreme run.

When i got home i started wondering just how much all the extra "crap" that i carry with me weighs.

Since i got it for my birthday, i've ridden with my Camelbak HAWG which was carrying:

50oz of water
Spare tire
Spare tube
Cable lock
1/3 roll of happy paper (toilet paper for the rest of you)
Spare cleats
Patch kit
2 maps
Small variety of energy food (2 gels, 2 bars, 1 package of clif shot bloks)
Saddle bag (which contains multitool, another spare tube, another patch kit, small bottle of advil, roll of electrical tape)
Extra gloves (fingerless and full finger)
Lip balm
Spare change (probably $1-2 worth that i get from krispy kreme and haven't bothered to take out)
Tire Boots (from Park Tools)

The saddle bag is only in there because i have no room on my seatpost with a blinker and fender. Additionally i have a Topeak Road Morph pump and a bottle of cytomax on the bike.

On top of that i was wearing some nylon track pants, a windbreaker, and some winter snow gloves which i took off 1/3 into the ride. It was cold enough for them when i started (50 degrees F) but took them off when it hit about 65 degrees. The pants and windbreaker got put in the camelbak (yes there was enough room) and the gloves got clipped to one of the straps and i put on my long finger cycling gloves instead. Then i was also wearing leg and knee warmers, arm warmers, and my MTB shoes (which are heavier than my road shoes).

Anyways, i weigh about 130-135 lbs (it fluctuates a bit). Weighing myself after getting home, i was a tad above 150 lbs! Just before i hopped in the shower i weighed in at 132 lbs...

So yeaaaaahh, that's my reason for being slow. :D Don't worry though, i ditch most of it when i'm doing a triathlon, the extra weight is for, um, training purposes. Yeah, training purposes. :p

Geez I wish I only weighed 132 lb. I carry all that stuff (well almost) and weigh a bit in excess of your 132.That's why I'm slow!

Sheesh.

My bike loaded with normal long distance ride gear (2 tubes, CO2, 2x tire lever, seat bag, bento box, multiple powerbars, bento box, camera, 2x28 oz full bottles etc) is around 30 lbs. With me on it, the whole package is pushing 300. I go through rear tires fast, and up hills at a very very, casual pace.

When I do fully loaded touring with panniers, racks, fenders etc, the total package is around 350.

Why do you carry two bento boxes? :D

In my saddle bag I have two tubes, two tire levers, patch kit, 2 boots, 18 tool multi (Topeak something), copy of DL and Med card, lip balm, sunscreen, and a first aid kit (bandages, pills, ointment, etc.). A Road Morph and one water bottle is attached to the bike.

Everything else goes into my jersey pockets or a camelback (if necessary). enough bars/gels to get me through the ride (plus one extra), camera, walkman, cell phone, knife.

Sometimes I'll carry a spare tire, but only if I am on a double.
