What amazing weather in So Cal !
Wow.. With DST and the weather we are having this week, getting out and cycling is amazing.
Put in nearly 60 miles today after work....
Rode with a guy that is on the Amgen Masters Racing Team that I met out here. Luckily I had a riding partner today as I pinch flatted both the front and rear at the same time. Had one tube and a repair kit so I swapped out one tube and patched the other.
Murphy's law came into play as upon inflating one of the tubes I heard a BOOM... Bead flat ! Oops.
Luckily we had another tube available.

Its been amazing here in nor cal also. Today hit 85 degrees and my ride after work was great with the air cooling as the sun set.

Temperatures were good but holy crap it's dry... On my commute home yesterday i downed 3/4 of my water bottle in 4 miles... And it was all downhill! Ok, having to sprint over half of it to keep up with traffic didn't really help, but i really could do without the terribly chapped lips and dry throat.

During the part of the year when I can ride my bike to work, I leave a change of clothes the day before. When I arrive, I get showered, wash out my riding gear and put it in the PE Dept. dryer so everything is ready for the afternoon commute home!

It was 86 degrees on Sunday, 90 degrees on Monday. Thankfully the clouds/fog rolled in last night and really cooled things off. I'll take 60 degrees and cloudy anyday over anything above 75 degrees.

I thought it had to do with which ocean it came from (ie: Pacific = typhoon, Atlantic = hurricane)
But the word typhoon comes from the Japanese Tai Fun, which means 'being blown as by a Bangkok stripper."
