Mary, you completed a trifecta this weekend, very impressive. What is the mile count for the weekend?

Mr. Beanz 01-15-07 08:38 PM

Who cares what the mileage count is? She's a BADAZZ!:D

Hehehehe, not today. I was sucking ME's wheel like there was no tomorrow. And Ronjon's and Magicants, and so on!:p

merider1 01-15-07 09:03 PM

A trifecta??? Is that a word, cause I didn't fect anyone and certainly not three times (although, three times is generally the charm) :p Thanks, Jim - I don't think I deserve my own thread, but I did put in 180 over three days. And I feel great although very tired. My eyes are swollen from the wind and cold! I look like I've been crying for days. I may take off from the gym tomorrow. Did you ride this weekend? :)

Pheard 01-15-07 09:11 PM

M.E. is an inspiration to us younger riders, who only put in somewhere around 15 trail miles in the last week. :D It's cold!

Yes, grandma here is still cooking on her rides, isn't she? ;) :p Hey, Pheard, trail riding is harder than some road riding, you know. So don't knock what you're doing! :D

hey, you did great this weekend. That is a good amount of miles considering the weather.

The only riding I did this weekend is to the top of Rose Valley. The plan was to go to Pine Mountain but it was just too cold. I have never descended a mountain so slowly. Brrrrrrrrrrrrr But it was a good ride.

Not the riding I did in the last week. :D

The only time I can think of where I ever did a really hard ride was when I did a 5 hour 50 mile trail ride, doing as much of the trails in phoenix as I could possibly squeeze in, starting with desert classic.

I totally wanna ride with you sometime M.E. :) I figure if I bribe you with a few margarita's before hand, I might just have a chance of keeping up. ;)

Well, you certainly don't need to bribe me to ride with me, you young pup, you. I'll teach you a thing or two about riding. ;) Margaritas are always a good recovery drink too, might I add. :D

You hush young-un. You did great this weekend, and you should be proud. Three day straight and all with very chilly temps makes it even tougher. You are off to a great beginning to a new year. Congrats on a great show of dedication ME. I have a hard time getting out and riding in this cold.

On another note, I think Pheard and I are gonna get some Santa Cruz riding in on wed.:D

Thanks, Gretzky. :) I loved every mile of it and, of course, I had so much wonderful company which is what got me out there! I love this forum and especially So Cal since it has introduced me to so many wonderful individuals/riders. I hope more and more join, as well as other regions picking up attendance and rides in their areas. It's just a win-win IMHO. :o

Thanks, Sean - but you needn't call me a young-un! I'm a stone throw away from you in years (gosh, I do sound like Grandma, don't I? ). And I wish I could get in on that Santa Cruz riding action! :D

 Egads! I take that back. You may NOT have a margarita, young man. I'll drink yours for you...:p :D

I just checked out the sea otter century, Ill ride it with ya. We can do a little mt bike tour on saturday for a warm up, but no need to pay for it. I can guide a better ride then they do, and my tour is free.

You're on! I'll tell my aunt that I'm coming up. She won't mind if I stay there, I'm sure. :)

Well, we'd love if you join. In fact, anyone who wants to join is welcome. I was bummed when a member called us cliquey recently. We're just a group of riders who ride together and have become friends, but anyone who loves to ride and likes groups can join. With that being said, wouldn't it be nice to have a group like this up in the No Cal region as well?

If you are trying to tell me that you're extremely happy to see me, I must admit, I'm impressed. ;) :D
