TOC Stage 7

I went to the Tour of California today and it was a blast! I was able to get a bunch of autographs and many pics. I will be posting them on my blog tomorrow. For now I thought some of you would like to know George Hincapie had surgery on his wrist this morning and will be out for Paris Roubaix. He broke is wrist in stage 6. He seemed to be in good spirits this morning when I saw him in the hotel with ice on his wrist.

Sux.

Hope his wrist gets better, though.

What an amazing job Big George did in stage 6 of pulling the break back in, and all with a broken wrist.

I know! I could not belive it when I heard it was broken. Then a short while later in he walks with his wrist all wraped up with ice. That just makes his pull at the front even better if you ask me.

I have the Autographs up on my blog for those who are interested.

So many BFers were at this thing but I didn't see anybody but the ones I came with. Maybe its because I spent a lot of time down at the turnaround (opposite end of the start/finish).

it's actually pretty common for folks to break bones in a crash, only to get up and score a win with help from the resulting adrenaline rush.
just a few months ago, my friend's 10 year-old kid had a big crash in a motocross race, but he was able to suck it up, get back on and take the win. it wasn't until he had pulled into the pit area and rolled up his sleeve that he realized his arm was broken from the crash! tough kid.

Yeah.....for example Reagan didn't realize he had a bullet in him til well after he had gotten in the limo.
