I think I saw part of this ride on my way to San Diego yesterday. We were on our way to a graduation ceremony, but she knew I was envious of all the bicycles I saw enjoying the wondeful weather.

BTW, Michelin Krylions are great. Rolled over a broomstick on the way back from Ramona and nothing happened. Don't know why there's a broomstick in the middle of nowhere though.

[EDIT] Forgot to mention, just like in all my previous centuries, the party is already over by the time I cross the finish line (2:50pm). My new goal is to finish one before the party ends.
Hello... First time posting here...

I TOTALLY remember that broomstick 'cuz I was thinking the same thing!

I was the Red Cliff Bar Jersey and bib shorts...and a black Scattante road bike.

8:07:28 total, 6:27:30 riding, avg 16.1 mph....I rolled into MCC at 2:10pm... Why does Motion Based say I climbed around 7k? I don't think that's correct... pretty uneventful finish line, if ya ask me...I rode 105 some miles and all I get is a freakin' purple bracelet?!?!.. oh.. and the socks... The BEST thing I got I had to pay for: the Jersey and the experience of riding the uncharted roads of San Diego! whoopie...

BTW... weather yesterday was 62.6F high.

Great job, Shnuddy! 6:53 time is a good clip. I saw the girls today, and yes, Asia and her posse were out there! They did well and still had legs to climb GMR today.

Hey I remember you. We we at a some of the same stops. We were at least at the stop in Poway on Pomerado road the 2nd time. I remember thinking that the Bianchi's color really sticks out when I saw it on the rack at the stop. I also remember seeing the jersey and thinking about how I'm not a fan of Arrogant Bastard Ale (though I do like the t-shirt a friend had that said "I'm an Arrogant Bastard" underneath the Stone Brewery logo).

Fashion faux pa? My helmet has a visor and reflective stickers. My shifters are currently not matching because (the left one is a Tiagra and the right one is an Ultegra) because the bike shop loaned me one because the original one was faulty and needed a warranty replacement, which they didn't have in stock.

Thanks, ME. I was happy with that time, especially with more climbing than I'm used to.

nothing major, i was forced to quit at 1/2 mark due to my tire, but from Poway to the coast is pretty darn flat so I'm sure the guys got back quick. The "three witches" were more like bumps, one was a bit long....1/2 mile or so, I was feeling it on the SS near the top (think it was like 3-4% grade). I averaged 17.9mph for the 1st 35 miles of the ride. Top speed was tucked @ 48.4 mph coming down Del Dios.

ABA goes really down really well after 3 or 4 DDH Levitations. You just can't start off with it, unless you really are an arrogant bastard.

I don't remember the Taco Bell. I'm in Scripps Ranch. The intersection of Scripps Poway Parkway and Pomerado is about 1 mile from my house.
