If it's like last year there won't be any meat when I get back! But I have a great alternative, peanut butter on blueberry bread.

Good reason to immediately turn south from Rincon instead of heading out to Gaviota....yikes!...

Sorry; won't be able to help you out. I'll be heading back to SD as soon as the ride is over. Gotta attend a friend's house warming party.

Well, even if you start at 5am, you'll catch me in time to carry me up Potrero.

I think the triple riders should get filet mignon when they arrive personally - that or a good burger.

Thanks! Too bad though; I thought it'll help to cut down on driving time. 30mins+checkout time between a hotel and the church is quite significant considering the little sleep that night.

Yes, Dave, but getting some good rest is more important than saving that time. It's going to take me at least 45 minutes to get there. With breakfast and getting dressed, I'm looking at getting up between 2 and 2:30am! I'm planning on hitting the hay by 8pm if at all possible on Friday night.

The only way I could go to sleep at 8PM would be if I was clubbed in the head.

You'll have to ask Tracy to help you out with that... What time are you planning on going to bed then? Especially if you are DRIVING up (insane! I think you should get a room personally as that is going to be tough on both ends!)

If I finish my triple, I doubt I'll be able to stomach anything, let alone a big hunk of meat. Sounds nice now though =).

Oh, whatever, leg-man. Look it, you'll be done with the triple and eating the meat I was supposed to get long before I cross the finish line.

That's easy to say now and when you first get off the bike. But I've been there and about 2-3 hours later you're starving and eating everything in sight. I try to eat something even if I have to stuff it down. Also you have a 2 hour window for optimum replenishment. Try to eat some good high quality carbs, a little protein doesn't hurt either.

I think I'll start @ 4:30, and try to wait for my friend Mary at one of the CP's.

Are you going to be done by 10pm? Because pretty much after that I'll be a drooling mess if I don't get home and to bed!
