I've never been able to wrap my mind around the whole woman-as-goddess thing. I mean, seems like those goddesses in ye olde mythological days were always getting mauled, or having their heads chopped off, or giving birth to kids out of their armpits, no? What kind of lifestyle is THAT?

Those "Goddess on Board" bumperstickers give me the quivering fantods.

I don't want to be worshipped! I'd probably have to shave my legs every day.

merider1 05-07-07 01:42 PM

Those look like tri chicks...HOT! :D

Is this a bad thing? Cause, I get those too, but rarely when looking at bumperstickers...:p

I title it. "lubing the chain"

Not bad -- the Trek is pretty smokin' anyway. But even I could drop that chick in a heartbeat, and ME could probably wipe up the road with her snot. No quads, teensy little butt equals no sprint in the final 100 meters.

Actually, the Olympian Goddesses could wup ass. If you couldn't get Zeus to favor you, all you had to do was appeal to Hera, and she'd have Zeus toeing the line pretty quick. And Aphrodite pretty much had everyone on Mt. Olympus whipped, too. As for giving birth from exotic orifices, you're actually thinking of Zeus who gave birth to Athena through his forehead, and to Dionysus out of his thigh. The wimmins stuck to more conventional means of bringing forth the next generation of little godlets.

And after spending basically my whole life being told that I should be submissive and obedient to whatever Y chromosome that happened to be in the vicinity (be it father, brother, husband, or son), and being treated as an unpaid servant, and exploited as a marshmallow-y sugar mamma, I'm due for a little worship. In fact, I want my worship and adoration (and gifts and sacrifices) whether I bother to shave my legs or not!!

Goddess Rights NOW!!

You're cute. :p

In a manly-womanly goddess, please-don't-hurt-me kind of way.

VelodromePhoeni 05-07-07 01:58 PM

Um, I'm a little confused by this, but I think it's a compliment, so thank you.

And bless you.

Pez cycling news has this one completely covered. They of course have all the podium girl candy in addition to the (much more) sexy athletes. But I will offer up this photo of Daniela Fusar Poli. While I admit she is not the stereotypical beauty, I found it odd that she was resoundingly castigated in a similar thread in road cycling... because I find her quite worthy of worship.
